updated COVId PROTOCOLS
Our patients and employees’ safety is our number one priority.
As of April 13, 2023, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), American Dental Association (ADA) and Minnesota Board of Dentistry have lifted the mask mandate within the dental office setting for both patients and staff. We will no longer be requiring patients to wear a mask in common areas like the waiting room and hallway. We will still have masks available for patients who would prefer to continue wearing them.
We will continue to utilize an Air Purifier (Medify Air) with HEPA 13 filter in dental operatories/patient rooms and waiting area.
Kn95 and/or Level 3 Filter masks will be utilized by Dr. Leano and the Red Oak Family Dental team during patient care and procedure, as well as clinical gown, protective eyewear and nitrile gloves.
We will continue to strictly follow OSHA and Infection Control recommendations for dental instrument sterilization (like we have always done) and disinfection of all patient rooms and office space.
Please reach out to us with any questions regarding these new changes. Thank you for supporting Red Oak Family Dental!
Radiograph/Xray Update from American Dental Association
Red Oak Family Dental will no longer be utilizing Lead Aprons for patients getting xrays/radiographs unless patients request it due to personal or medical reasons.
This decision is based on most recent recommendations of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR).
